I'll Save You Some Time

National Democrats have already picked their candidate for this district. That makes it easy if you're happy with the leadership, vision, and direction that Democrats have shown on the national level and want continuity. A candidate has already been chosen for you. 

I'm not satisfied with the status quo. Our lived reality is that Democrats elected some of the best legislators in our country's history who in turn crafted productive policy. And yet we're still on the brink of losing it all because we lack strategic vision and leadership. 

My candidacy is not just to be a vote in Congress, but to help build and execute a winning vision for Democrats for 2028 and beyond. 

The 11th District is a National District

The old saying is that "all politics are local." This is too small of a view for Virginia-11.

The folks in our district come from all around the US and the world. 

Many of the people in our district work in organizations that affect the entire country. 

And the large number of our residents working in the government, either as employees or contractors, are affected every day by national politics and the opinions of the other 434 congressional districts. 

With the targeting of Federal workers and their critical functions, a national perspective is vital in this moment. 

The Bottom Line 

There is no scenario in which Virginia-11 can prosper and we can build the kinds of communities that we want if the nation continues its slide into authoritarianism and our Constitution fades. Housing, environmental, LGBTQ+, education, rights of immigrants, legal and social equality--they will all fade and be lost. We cannot afford to have a Congressional representative whose perspective includes only Virginia-11 and Washington DC. 

The upcoming Special Election is an immediate opportunity to upend the status quo and engage in the real fight for 2028.
